The Pomeranian is descended from the sled dogs of Iceland and Lapland, but was refined in England. He was bred for no
other reason than to be pampered and admired.

Males: 4 to 5 lbs.

Coat:
Double coated, a short, soft, thick undercoat with longer, coarse glistening outercoat consisting of guard hairs
which must be harsh to the touch in order to give the proper texture for the coat to form a frill of profuse, standing off
straight hair. A soft, flat or open coat is a major fault.
Temperament:
Very friendly and outgoing with people.
Very loyal to owner.
Usually trustworthy off lead when
properly trained.
Can be destructive if not supervised.
Usually very vocal.
Should not be trusted with small children.
Usually
difficult to housebreak.
Not usually good with other animals.

Summary:
A very beautiful little dog. This dog is better owned by a single owner that has lots of time to give him.
He is far too tiny and delicate to have around children.
